A Little Touch of Sunshine

How It All Began

My name is Toni Howell.

A proud military spouse. A Jacksonville, Florida native.

A breast cancer overcomer.

And the visionary behind A Little Touch of Sunshine.

My journey into the world of baking began in February 2012, in Middle Georgia, where I discovered a passion that quickly turned into a calling. Initially experimenting with a variety of baked goods—cookies, pound cake, red velvet cake, and cheesecake— I found that cheesecake has been the true specialty and the star of my creations.

In May 2017, I furthered my culinary expertise by earning an associate’s degree with honors from Le Cordon Culinary Arts. Not long after, in June 2018, I faced a life-altering breast cancer diagnosis. This challenge only strengthened me in transforming me into an Overcomer who embraces life’s obstacles with grace and resilience.

With a renewed perspective, I sought to expand the business’s reach and entered the 2021 Black Expo sweets taste competition in Jacksonville, Florida, where I gained recognition and a platform to connect with fellow entrepreneurs and chefs in the culinary industry.

As the founder of A Little Touch of Sunshine, I’m dedicated to offering more than just gourmet cheesecakes: I provide an experience of love, light, and positivity. The brand is built on impeccable work ethics, outstanding customer service, and the use of high-quality products. I also deeply believe in giving back to the community, recognizing that being a business owner comes with a responsibility to lead with dedication, endurance, and passion.

Our goal is to continue growing in every aspect, bringing joy and satisfaction to customers by fulfilling their sweet tooth desires.
